Starting something new

So there is new working coming. I have a few day before i go away but i still be doing so sketch work so they will be more when i come back. Made a trip to convent while gonig to see the Damien Hirst exhibition,   it was literally a trip also look into the national portrait awards going back soon to have a good look but some amazing work. 

Fine Art Done

Here are the paint i product for this unit of work. I change something in each of them as I develop I had some thing that i like and then 5 thing I hate. I already hate them, some much to improve.

Graphics Done

So here are the final piece for my graphic this year, the idea  revolving around a music events and I when done the route of a handmade design with most of the design being created by hand and then take on to Photoshop and Indesign to add the final touches.

Its been awhile

So it been a few weeks since i update this but i got time where i can do my own painting and I still have post the final piece for this years projects. more soon

The Toucan is back...

 More graphic work. Here are the watercolour piece that I was doing the other day. I am going on the idea that as the Toucan drinks the Guinness and the colour come back to him until it finish and he is in full colour. I am using the Toucan as its been used in Guinness ads but not in recent years. There is still text to be add to the piece but the images will be the main focus point of the design.. This would be used in a magazine with the coming up on every other page showing the colour coming back. I really like the watercolour not being contained in the outline off them.

Joining two worlds...

Been doing  more graphic work with a Fine art  spin on it. Its something that I feel make my own a little different. I like the idea of combining my skill in Fine art and putting them into a graphic piece. Fine arty graphic piece are usually the one the i am attracted to. been using so watercolor for my recent piece they are nearly finished. Just some shots that i took while doing them.

Jelly Guinness

As I am looking into my advert for Guinness adverts I am thinking of changing the color. I am looking at the idea of changing the iconic black & white. So here I have made a glass of Guinness out of jelly this will be a part of a developed piece which i am working on. I am thinking of getting rid of the letterpress idea as there has be sketch i have done recent that are working and coming together a lot better

So here are some photography for my Fine art exam.  The idea started with the word impasto that i choose from others. I decide to focused on landscape as i what to suggest shapes and be playful the the paint.. Here are the 2nd set of photographs that i have taken. I looked at film noir and to have a establishing shot and then focusing on closer section of the landscape. I have edited them to black & white as they are going to be painted in a monochrome style and I like the high contrast that they have. Paintings and drawing of these to come.

Artist Block.

So in the next couple of weeks my Graphics and Fine art exam are coming up (that 30 hours of exam). The downside it i have no motive to get the work done. Its not that i  dont have any work it just that I could of done a lot more. I cant get the motivation as there is don't thing to really aim for, i got my space are Camberwell next year, plus its a lot to do with i have no one that i can bounce ideas of with at school as they are not really that interested in what they are doing. That is one thing that i am looking for to next year at college where i am surrounded by like minded people.  Its like i am in this routine where i am just going through the motion and half the work that i am doing is not for me but so i can fully a check list that the teacher/examiners. Just need to something new and work through this stage/artist block that i am going through.

Didnt think it was going to happen.

So I have been applying to foundation( UCA Epsom, Camberwell, Kingston and ravensbourne) course for next year (cant wait) abd i heard back from all of them apart from Camberwell. I feel Camberwell is best for me as Fine Art is want they are specializing in. I didnt think i would get a offer. Anyway i am going to more with the blog with next work coming with my Fine and Graphic art exam coming up.

Letterpress.Short Copy Ad

Here is Some more graphic work. I started the exam so on to a new project. I started with the keyword vessel and got to Guinnes. So I am going to do 3 different promotional material for Guinness. So,my new paints came and I decided to start a blog. I am really just going to post arty stuff here and vent out ideas and random things that are going around my head. There will be stuff from painting,sticker, tattoo design, graphic work,maybe customizing a pair of old Converse and thinkelse i feel like posting. Oh and some photography.
